    In some cases, your system may display a message that the tptp profile was not found on the server role. There can be several reasons for this problem.

    The Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) application is a command-line tool that is likely used to modify Windows images. You can use the features DISM commands to fix Disable or Windows Features from the command line, or simply by applying an answer file to a part of the system. You can enable or get the offline Windows Fix features in the file WIM or VHD or on the network after the operating system starts.

    Provide Offline Image For Maintenance

    1. Open a command prompt as an administrator.

    2. I would suggest using the /Get-ImageInfo option to get the name or index number of the image you want to change. A directory or name value is required to support most operations that specify a file.

      For example, in a command, quickly type:

      Dism /Get-ImageInfo /ImageFile:C:testimagesinstall.wim
    3. Mount the popular Windows image. For example, type:

      Dism /Mount-Image /ImageFile:C:testimagesinstall.wim /Index:1 /MountDir:C:testoffline

    1. List all the features available on the system you are using. For example, type:

      Dism /online /Get features

      To provide a stand-alone image for products and services, specify a location for the provided image catalog. For example, type:

      Dism /Image:C:testoffline /Get-Features

      You can use > in a command to redirect admin output to a text file. For example, >featurelist.txt is output to a text file named featurelist.txt.

    2. Check the feature list to find the feature you want to enable, disable, remove, or restore.

    3. Use /Get-FeatureInfo to get a list of suggestions for specific features you are currently using. For example, type:

      Dism /Get-FeatureInfo /online /FeatureName:TFTP

    To Enable Windows Features

    1. Include a certain good feature on the image. You can use the /All argument to include all high level benefits and features in oneteam. Example:

      Disable /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:TFTP /All

      To save a specific offline image, specify a location that is associated with the directory of the mounted image. For example, type:

      Dism /Image:C:testoffline /Enable-Feature /All
    2. Optional: /featurename:tftp Get the status of a feature that users have enabled. For example, type:

    How To Restore Deleted Windows Features

    1. Exclusively activate a feature on an image. If you don’t provide a suggestion, DISM will search the backlog location specified by Group Policy to find the files needed to ensure you get this feature. For more information, see Configuring the Windows Recovery Source.

      Dism /online /Get-FeatureInfo /FeatureName:TFTP

      If the status is EnablePending, you may need to download an image to fully enable this feature.

    To Remove Windows Components

    1. Turn off a specific part of an image. For example, type:

      Dism /online /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:TFTP

      To save the offline style, specify the location of the still image folder. Example type:

      Dism /Image:C:testoffline /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:TFTP
    2. Optional: use DISM /GetFeatureInfo if you want to get the deactivation status. For example, type:

      Dism /online /Get-FeatureInfo /FeatureName:TFTP

      If the state is normally DisablePending, you must be sure to disable the property completely.

    To Remove Windows Components From The On-demand Installer

    1. Removing a specific feature from any image without removing the pronounced feature from the image. For other important information, see Configuring the Windows Recovery Source.

      For example, enter:

      Disable /online /Disable-Feature /FeatureName: TFTP Service /remove

      to an offline image, specify the location of the mounted image database. Example: /Image:C:testoffline type:

    2. Optional: Use DISM /GetFeatureInfo to get the status of a disabled feature. For example, type:

    To Enable Or Remove Windows Features Using DISM And Your File

    2. As in Windows Image Lite, expand Catalog, then expand Packages.

    3. Expand Foundation and right-click Microsoft-Windows-Foundation-Package.

    4. Click Add to Response File.

    5. Press "On" or "Off" next to most of the features you want to enable or disable. Click on the arrow to choose the opposite option.

      You may find yourself expanding an element to find all of its children. You must include parent elements if any of their children are included.


      With a single answer file, you can remove the restore of many features if needed, or remove a Windows feature.
