Error message “System Restore has been disabled by an administrator or group policy.” To simply proceed with the system restore, contact your administrator. The URL “may appear on a Windows 7, 8, or 10 computer when the user tries to do this to start System Restore. The user is almost logged in as an administrator and cannot activate System Restore because the Customize button in Settings system protection is inactive.

If System Restore is disabled on your system and you cannot enable it through System Protection Settings, your computer is most likely infected with a virus or other spyware or adware.

Thus, paths 1 through 6 in this guide will help you rid your computer of viruses or malware, and the current steps 5 and 6 show exactly how to re-enable System Restore on the system.

Step 1. Safely boot your computer in network mode.

First of all, you need to virtually boot your desktop in Safe Mode to prevent malware from running. To experience this:

• Windows 7, Vista and XP:
  • Restart your own window and press the F8 key while the computer boots up (before the logo appears).
  • When the Advanced menu appears on the LCD monitorAdvanced options, navigate to Safe Mode Networking (using keyboard joysticks) and press Enter.

• Windows 10, 8.1 / 8 in addition to 7:
  • Press Windows + R Best Practices to open the RUN window.
  • Enter msconfig and click OK.

Step remove unneeded files using JRT.

1. Download the JRT Junkware Removal Tool and read it anywhere on your desktop.
2. Start the JRT and especially press a to start the analysis.

3. Wait for a patient JRT to scan your system and remove unwanted software from it.
4. After submitting the unwanted software uninstall tool, close the JRT log file and restart your computer.

Step Papers: Remove Malware with MalwareBytes Antimalware.

2. Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and wait for the computer program to update its malware database.
3. Click the Scan Now button and wait until the scan is almost certainly complete.

4. When scanning is complete, select from all found items and locations Quarantine all newspapers and televisions.

5. If necessary, restart your computer and proceed to the next step.

Step 5. Close and remove malicious functions with RKILL.

– RKill is a program developed by Bleepingcomputer at.com that tries to kill known antivirus processes so that your usual basic security software can cleanse your computer of infections. Also, I would say that RKILL checks the current state and configuration of many major Windows components (firewall, system restore, etc.) and puts the scan results in a great useful log file.

• Download and run RKILL.
• Be patient, RKILL kills malicious processes.

• When RKILL is done, do click OK.

• Go to the desktop exhibition and the RKILL.txt log file.
• In the Rkill.txt log, look under the “Check Variables” section to see which registry keys are disabled during System Restore. *

• Without leaving the rkill registry file, continue to get and enable system restore next to the registry.

Step 6. Enable system restore using the registry.

• • Open Registry Editor. Do it:
    • Press Windows + R at the same time to open a window.
    • Enter “open” in the “RUN” field: regedit
    • Press Enter.

• After exiting the window, navigate to the computer registry key listed in the Rkill.txt log.
